The Classic Summer Camp Experience!

Camp Adventures is an overnight, 4-day summer camp designed for children with special needs and their families/caretakers. The four days will be jam-packed with fun activities such as pool time, lawn games, boating trips, arts & crafts, ropes course with rock climbing & ziplining, archery, campfires with s’mores, a talent show & more all in a supportive and safe environment. The camp offers shared lodging in fully accessible, modern cabins and a dining hall that can accommodate ANY dietary need. Caregivers and family members are completely included in the fun. Join families from all around the Bay Area to make new connections, reconnect with old friends, and reach new goals with your family.

This unique family camp is made possible through our Camp Counselors, Kitchen Liason, and Camp Nurse. We bring 15-20 volunteers to faciliate our camp fun. All meals, lodging, and travel are included in this unforgettable experience.

Cost: Camp Adventures is offered free of charge (thanks to the generosity of the Taylor Family Foundation)
Participant Limit: 5 members/group

Camp Adventures 2019 will take place August 13th-16th. Camp registration opens this Saturday, May 25th.

Please check back to this page on May 25th to register online for Camp Adventures. Filling out the online form does NOT guarantee attendance to Camp Adventures. Camp slots will be filled based on a lottery system.

Do you want to be a Camp Counselor?

We appreciate your contribution! Support activities include but are not limited to: Senior CounselorPlease view the Sr. Counselor Volunteer Description for a complete summary of the Sr. Counselor’s responsibilities. Jr. Counselor – Work directly under their assigned Sr. Counselor to help carry out all activities at camp and ensure the camp’s overall needs are met. Kitchen Liaison – Work with Camp Arroyo Kitchen Staff to ensure each meal runs smoothly including set up, expediting food/drinks, and clean up after each meal. Nurse – Provides first aid, handles & distributes medication, on-call for emergencies. Must have LVN or RN. Stipend Paid. Please note: Submission of the application form does not garauntee a position for this years Camp Adventures counselor. A background check (for those 18+) and registration process will be completed for each individual. An e-mail will be sent out to all individuals who applied with more information about acceptance and the following steps.
