Founded on the belief that recreation, fun, challenge and access to the outdoors are an essential part of a healthy and fulfilling life, Shared Adventures is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life of people living with disabilities.

ALL ACTIVITIES ARE FULLY ACCESSIBLE

Office hours are Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday 1:00 PM - 5:30 PM.

Deposits are required in advance of activities. No one is turned away for lack of funding.

If you need help with transportation, you can call Liftline at (831) 688-9663. Carpools can also sometimes be arranged.

BOWLING BY THE BOARDWALK
Sundays, January 15th and 29th, and February 12th and 26th

Location- Santa Cruz Surf Bowl
Time- 10:30 a.m-12:30 p.m.
Cost- $3/game

Come out of the cold, and join us for a fun filled morning at the lanes! This activity continues to be one of our most popular; come ready to have fun and practice your technique.


ELEPHANT SEAL HIKES
Saturdays, February 18th & 25th

Location- Ano Nuevo State Park
Time- 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Cost- $5 (parking fee extra $6/vehicle)

Enjoy a day of observing elephant seals and other marine mammals in their winter home at Ano Nuevo State Park. These special trips will be led by park docents, and will be accessible to all.


VALENTINE'S DANCE PARTY
Saturday, February 4th

Location-Soquel Grange
Time- 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM
Cost- $5

Join us for an evening of fun and live entertainment. Boogie with friends and your favorite rock and blues! Refreshments will be served. Co-Sponsored by Community Options and Shared Adventures.


YOUNG ARTISTS' STUDIO ART CLASS
Ongoing, Every Wed. & Thurs.
(attend one or both days)

Location- Branciforte Small Schools Campus (call for exact location)
Time-3:30 to 5:30pm
Cost- Free

This inclusive after-school art program is for disabled and able-bodied young people aged 12-18. Students can work with printmaking, painting, ceramics, photography, and more, as well as learn about master artists, take field trips to view local art, and participate in art shows.


2ND ANNUAL DAY IN THE SKY
Saturday, April 22nd

Location-Watsonville Airport
Cost- Free

Mark your calendar now for one of our most exciting events of the year! Disabled and severely ill children of the Central Coast will receive plane rides over the spectacular coastline, while a simultaneous large festival and accessible activities expo entertains everyone on the ground. CERAMIC PAINTING
Tuesday, February 7th

Location- Petroglyph Ceramic Lounge on Pacific
Time-11:00 AM - 1:00 PM Cost-$7

Come express your individual creativity with us during an afternoon of art and fun. Choose from a variety of ceramic pieces and paint your vision on a self created souvenir. A guide will walk us through the process of decorating ceramics; bring your imagination!


MOVIE OF THE MONTH NIGHTS
Wednesdays, January 25th and March 15th

Locations and Times To Be Determined
Cost- $6

Join us for the yet-to-be-announced movie of the month. After each film, we will have group discussion and enjoy Gelato together.


ST. PATRICK'S DAY WHALE WATCHING TRIP
Thursday, March 16th

Location- Santa Cruz Yacht Harbor
Time- 10:00 AM - 12:00 pm
Cost- $10

Come experience the beauty of watching whales as they migrate along the California Coast. Please call in advance to register; this trip fills up quite quickly (and don't forget to wear green)! There will be an optional lunch afterward at a restaurant nearby.
